Julie Levy (she/they) is an independent scholar who left her PhD program with all but the dissertation finished in protest over graduate student working conditions. They are currently the Program Coordinator for the Save Ancient Studies Alliance, and their recent work can be found on the Paizomen blog, Asterion, and the Let's Talk About Myths, Baby! podcast. She has two MAs in ancient Greek and Roman studies, and a BA in ancient Greek studies and Japanese studies. Their scholarly interests range from reception in video games to comparative linguistics to Sappho's cultural influences. The thing she misses most about academia is teaching.
