Dr. Aaron Irvin

Aaron Irvin is an associate professor of History at Murray State University. He specializes in the ancient world, teaching courses on ancient Rome, Greece, Egypt, and the cultures of the Near East. His recent publications include Community and Identity at the Edges of the Classical World, from Wiley-Blackwell in 2020, and a chapter in Dialectics of Religion in the Roman World, from Franz Steiner in 2021. He worked as Historical Consultant for the television series Spartacus for 5 years, can be seen in all 3 seasons of the Netflix series Roman Empire, and is currently working on multiple projects with The History Channel.
